After pulling out of Summer Jam 2012 because the president of her label, Lil Wayne told her not to perform, because of Peter Rosenberg dissing Nicki Minaj’s Starship track at the pre summer jam festival which you can see below. Nicki calls in to speak to Funkmaster Flex after he went off on Nicki Minaj live during his set at Summer Jam 2012 which you can also see below. They speak for a very long time going back and forth about the situation. Truthfully I think it was stupid of Rosenberg to speak on the track at Summer Jam period but as an artist she should have still performed. There were a lot of people who wanted to see Nicki Minaj but missed out because of something like this. Another thing, Funkmaster Flex should have not even been involved with the situation but you know how he does, another case where the DJ’s start feeling bigger than the artist, I respect all DJs 100% but without the artist making music they would not be in the position they are in now. I also feel Lil Wayne should not have told Nicki to pull out of Summer Jam because if he was headlining Summer Jam 2012, I’m almost 100% sure he would have still performed dude definitely should stick to being an artist.I think think this whole situation was blown out of proportion and could have been avoided, smh we gotta do better.
