The first few times Mase came back, I admit I was hyped..this time around, its whatever. The game has changed so much and it will just be hard for him to ever get back to the spot where he was at or where he would have been, if he didn’t retire the first time. For the past week there has been a lot of buzz on the internet about Mase returning to the game after the pictures of him and Omarion surfaced, (pictured above). The pictures were from Mase in the studio with Rick Ross, French Montana, Omarion and a few others. A few sites were reporting that Omarion has been signed to MMG and that Mase’s deal is on the table. Then yesterday Wale’s “Slight Work (remix)” dropped which featured, French Montana, Diddy & Ma$e and that pretty much confirmed that Mase is indeed back.

All in all I have no problem with Mase returning, I know 50 might feel a certain way about him possibly joining MMG lol. In the Flex interview Mase hinted how he needs to be able to deal with whoever he wants to. I guess he felt the G-Unit situation only allowed him to work with certain people but like any other rapper that retires and tries to come back, he will never reach the status that he once was had because, as I stated before times have changed. It seems like he just misses what he used to do and he wants another try at it. With MMG being one of the hottest labels in the game right now, this is not a bad move for him at all, but as the days go by we will see how this return plays out.
